Tom Hambridge spent years touring and playing with many of the biggest names in the business. He won a Grammy last year for his work producing Buddy Guy`s Blues Album Of The Year and he has worked and written songs for many major Blues artists including Johnny Winter, B.

Johnny Winter gets to his 'Roots' this September

Johnny Winter will free his new studio album entitled "Roots" on September 27, 2011 via Megaforce Records. This album returns Johnny to his roots by paying court to the iconic blues heroes whose pioneering music influenced Winters own signature sound and style. "Roots" is the follow up to his Grammy-nominated "Im a Blues Man."

THE TORONTO QUARTERLY: NOTHIN' BUT THE BLUES: The Johnny Winter .

Upon stepping out of the rail station and walking towards Mississauga`s Port Credit Memorial Park, I was instantly enveloped by echoes of howling guitars and bellowing ivory keys blasting through tavern windows and bounce off the city walls. Beside me, a three-legged hound hobbled contentedly beside its master, and on both sides of the street were guitar bearing folks blending in well with the strolling Sunday crowd.
