Boston Band Crush: Information Crush: Amy's Shows List

Time flies when you're sorting upcoming shows and boy are there much to select from this week. On Thursday night the ring The Hi-Risers (which includes members of that Mexican Wrestling Masked Surf Group Los Straitjackets! are at the Wagon and Stars. Also on Thursday Mascara and Dennis Brennan are at Atwoods while at TTs you can see The BFs, Bandit Kings, John Powhida International Airport and Fireking.

Friday night has the twelfth Annual Weisstronauts Holiday Jubilee with The Weisstronauts, Monophonic and Hillbilly Holiday at Sally O'Briens and it's free. There's a rocking show at the Rosebud on Friday with Watts (celebrating their cd release), Clock Strikes Ten (Cheap Trick, woo hoo! and Car Interiors. There's also a DJ set from Malibu Lou. On Saturday grab your Raybans, leggings, skinny ties and Aquanet and go back to 1984 at the Rosebud where Nate Rogers and Boston Band Crush present Mixtape 1984. Expect songs from Prince, Cyndi Lauper, Huey Lewis, Wham and so many more. Hopefully the Ghostbusters will point up and remember, "don't cover the streams". Also on Saturday night Nancy Neon is presenting her very special XXX-Mas Garage night at the Cantab with Kenne Highland and others. On Sunday Crooked Fingers, with members of Archers of Loaf, and Marc Pinansky are at TTs while there's the Great Scott Holiday Party with You Can Be a Wesley and Girlfriends at Great Scott and it's a free show! Monday night head over to Charlies Kitchen, order a double cheeseburger and mind to MMoss, Life Partner, Banditas and Reports. Tuesday is the first of 2 nights at the Orpheum with Weezer and openers Free Energy. Wednesday night has some hard choices. If you're in a holiday state of mind choose from the Chandler Travis Holiday Extravaganza at Johnny D's; The Scrooges residency at O'Briens or the Holiday Extravaganza with O'Halloran Brothers at the Wagon and Stars. And if you're in a Dylan state of mind head over to the Coffeehouse at the Armory for Bob Dylan's Blood on the Tracks performed by Brendan Hogan, Greg Klyma, Dressing the Debutantes, Patrick Coman, Ian Fitzgerald and more.Thursday, 12/9:
